CapetownWelcome to the fourth show of absolutely germany, which is coming to you in parts from Capetown!

Capetown? Is that in Germany? Well, not really. It’s of course in South Africa, where Jens is doing an internship.
Jens usually studies at the RheinAhrCampus in Remagen, in Germany, but he went to Capetown to get some more work experience, and on top of that, to work on his surfing skills. He has recorded severeal parts of this show on the other side of the globe, and we will start with:

  • Absolutely prepared: where you will hear about different opportunities of how to go abroad and what you should keep in mind. Be it for holidays, for a semester abroad or an internship in a company or an organisation.
  • Absolutely abroad: Right after that Jens tries to convince you to pack your bags and get out. So if you’re not packing already, maybe you will be after listening to this.
  • And Jens has already made some new friends in Capetown. He interviewed Anna and Kathrin about their experiences in the Kruger Park and on the Garden Route.
  • And last but not least we’ll hear a song by a South African band called Blk Sonshine.

Well, we really hope you will enjoy the show. Please feel free to leave a comment and let us know what you think about it.

Welcome to the third, or as we have come to call it, the July show of 'absolutely germany!'

In this show you will hear about working, studying and living in Germany from an American and a Swedish point of view.

The other day we had exchange student from the Coastal Carolina University visiting us here at the RheinAhrCampus in Remagen, and we took the chance to ask Jessica, Stephanie and Sabrina about their first impressions…and more.

Marie from Sweden, who has done both working and studying here in Germany, will tell us what she liked better. So if you're not sure whether you should come over to Germany for an internship or a semester abroad, you should listen to this. We bet Marie can give you some tipps. By the way, Marie was lucky enough to get tickets for a match of the Swedish team in the World Cup…as you might guess from her fingernails. :)

And right after that we continue to fight our battle against bad music with another cool song. This time it's not from Germany, but from Belgium…but that's just around the corner so we hopy you don't mind. The song is called "Lost Opportunities" and is performed by "The Mob Stories".

Well, we hopy you will enjoy the show and tune in again in August, for the fourth show of 'absolutely germany!'.

Welcome to ‘absolutely germany!’, the new podcast for incoming students!

We are a young dynamic team of ten students from the RheinAhrCampus Remagen, all participants of an International Business Simulation led by Dr. Borgmann.

Our working mission is to use the new online technology “Podcasting” to inform and help students from our partner universities to come over to Germany to study here.

Podcasting is the method of distributing multimedia files, such as audio programs over the Internet for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. Just like a kind of campus radio, only our programmes can be listened to world-wide by potential incoming students and we decide and record the content for the individual shows.

Right now we are working on our first show and on this blog, so please come back to this site and check what is new.
